Consistent with our Catholic ethos which recognises that each child is a unique thumbprint of God, we are proud to offer up to 34 fantastic subjects, many of which are new and exciting Level 3 courses that you will be able to study for the very first time – perhaps you will you choose an A-Level in Photography, Economics, Psychology, Textiles, Film Studies, Politics, Sociology, Computer Science? Or maybe a vocational CTEC in Health and Social Care, Business, Media Studies, Sport and Physical Activity, Information Technology. The choice goes on. Never before has there been such a broad, inclusive and exciting curriculum offering to our students.

It is important to add that students are able - and indeed many students choose – to study a combination of A-Level and Vocational courses. This flexible approach to attaining their Level 3 qualifications – i.e. combining the more traditional A-Level style of learning with the more practical, skills-based learning CTEC and BTEC learning enables students to tailor their Post-16 education to their specific interests, skills, learning styles and future ambitions.

Our Sixth Form Centre is bright and welcoming with its own teaching, study and recreation areas and our students are always involved in exciting extra-curricular activities. Students are expected to make a commitment to the life of the school by serving as important role models and ambassadors for the younger pupils.

St. Mary's Sixth Form is the natural choice for students as they prepare for University, apprenticeships or employment with all the benefits that our school offers. Students benefit from the highest standard of pastoral care, with a comprehensive tutorial and careers programme, including full support for Oxbridge, Medicine and all university applications, apprenticeships and other post 18 routes.
