Prayer

Prayer is at the very heart of St Mary's, integrated into all parts of our school day. We as a community embrace the need for us to come before our heavenly Father and spend time with him as you would a family member or friend. As seen in the story of Mary and Martha, we can be "worried and upset about many things", and we must not forget the need to spend time with Jesus in prayer.

We have a new focus this term, to encourage student led prayer, each form has received a timetable to schedule in the students on different form times. It is essential as a Catholic Community that we learn that we can pray, that it isn’t for someone else to do it for us but that it is purely, as said by St Teresa ‘on being on terms of friendship with God’.

Form Registration morning and afternoon and assemblies are our most regular time in the week to pray together as a community.
